We haven't been here since May 2024. We will do a PVDE climb to UCLA South Bay for a workout, then descend to the jetty. We earn beautiful harbor views from the end of the jetty and near the S.S. Lane Victory ship. On the return, we'll get our caffeine and fuel fix at Sirens Cafe in San Pedro. 38.5 mi, 2147 ft, Cabrillo Jetty-no PVDS-Siren's Coffee - Ride Leader : Matt Peck
Pace : Lower L2, upper L3 mix (17-19mph) Ride start is 9am, at the plaza just south of Captain Kidd's The Tuesday ride varies by design. If you want novelty, this is your ride. Routes vary between ~35-55 miles, 1000-3000 feet of climbing, typically in the middle third of the distance range (41-49 miles). If we go to an eating place, expect a "digestion pace" on the return. We often go to places that would otherwise be too crowded on a weekend (eg, Hollywood Sign, Inspiration Point, Porto's, etc). We are usually done by 1-2pm, and a coffee or meal stop is customary (usually at the end; sometimes that's the destination).
