Beach Cities Cycling Club, South Bay

Beach Cities Cycling Club, South Bay

Welcome to One of L.A. County’s Largest Non‑Competitive Social Cycling Clubs

We’re a friendly, inclusive cycling community based in Redondo Beach, California, welcoming riders ages 25 to 85 and all ability levels. If you’re new to group riding or wondering whether you’re “fast enough,” you’re in the right place.

Ride Levels for Real People

We offer four ride levels so you can join a group that matches your pace and comfort:

  • Level 4 — Easy & Casual: 14–16 MPH
  • Level 3 — Moderate: 16–18 MPH
  • Level 2 — Intermediate: 18–20 MPH
  • Level 1 — Fast & Challenging: 20+ MPH

Our goal is simple: enjoy Southern California’s beautiful weather, ride safely, and never leave anyone behind.

Supportive, Safety‑Focused Ride Leaders

Each group ride is led by an experienced Ride Leader who helps ensure:

  • Groups stay together
  • Safety is the top priority
  • No rider is dropped
  • New riders feel comfortable and confident

Many members joined without knowing anyone — and quickly found a welcoming, encouraging community.

13 Weekly Ride Options

With 11 rides every week and a library of 500+ routes throughout Southern California, there’s always something new to explore. Most rides start at the Redondo Beach Pier and stay within a 50-mile radius, with occasional special rides that venture farther.

Check our monthly Ride Calendar for upcoming rides.
