49 mi, 2,271 ft, Up Sullivan, Down Canyonback - Ride Leader : Bob Kellogg

PLEASE NOTE EARLY START: 8:00 at Manhattan Beach Pier.  We start with a leisurely ride up the coast to Santa Monica.  As the title says, we'll ride up Sullivan Ridge Fire Road, then down Canyonback Fire Road.  The trails appear to be open, although it is not certain.  With the exception of one optional detour on Canyonback, the trails are all wide fire roads but there are some sustained hills.  Intermediate or strong beginners on a gravel or mountain bike will be fine.  You can cut out some road miles by starting in Santa Monica.  Please coordinate with the ride leader if you plan to start somewhere other than MB Pier.
