We go north to climb up to Mt. Saint Mary's College, then descend via our old friend Bundy Canyon, before returning along east Santa Monica. We haven't done this route in years.
Note:
The steep segment from the college entrance to their top parking lot will be left as an optional bonus leg for very motivated riders. 43.4 mi, 1277 ft, Bundy Canyon, East Santa Monica - Ride Leader : Mario
Pace : L2/L3 Ride start : 9am Start Point: the plaza just south of Captain Kidd's The Tuesday ride varies by design. If you want novelty, this is your ride. Routes vary between ~35-55 miles, 1000-3000 feet of climbing. We often go to places that would otherwise be too crowded on a weekend (eg, Hollywood Sign, Inspiration Point, Porto's, etc). We are usually done by 1-2pm, and a coffee or meal stop is customary (usually at the end; sometimes that's the destination - if so, expect a "digestion pace" on the return).
