By request, we ride one of our longer routes to see The Great Wall of LA, a 1/2 a mile long mural arranged in connected chronological segments depicting eras of California’s history from prehistoric times through the 1960s. The last time we rode this route was March 2021.
This is one of the longest rides in the LA Explorer library. Please plan accordingly for a later return (e.g., ~3-3:30pm). Pace : Slow L2, fast L3 (17-19) 64.5 mi, 2969 ft, The Great Wall of LA - Ride Leader : Mario Description: We go to Syd K for the 1st restroom break. Then ascend up to Mulholland via Franklin Canyon, a 2nd restroom stop at Tree People. We descend Coldwater Canyon to Van Nuys and the Great Wall. After viewing the mural, we return via Sepulveda Pass, with a Restroom break at Skirball Center. Then descend Sepulveda and return via Barrington.
