39.4mi, 1345 ft, MLK, the back way

Description: We will head up to the MLK monument vista point at Ken Hahn park, from the back way, i.e., the north side. There is a short half mile steep pitch, but it's in a quiet neighborhood street - you can "paperboy" your way up if need be. Awaiting us will hopefully be a sunny day view of DTLA with the clear skies visibility we've had this week. We haven't been here since the photo below was taken - February 2024.

Along the way we will make a brief stop at the "Crossed Currents" steel mesh Public Art. It's something we pass by, but never truly take a look at it.

For Lincoln Lawyer fans, I will also point out the "Mick Haller house" on the descent from the MLK monument stop. It's at the north corner of El Mirador and Punta Alta drives.
