Weather Notice:   If we get heavy rain in the days leading up to Tuesday, or if any rain is predicted on Tuesday, the ride will be cancelled.  I will send an email by Monday evening if it is cancelled.

Starting from MB Pier at 8:30, we head up the coast to Amalfi and up Sullivan Ridge.  After a rest stop at the Nike station, we'll cross on Mulholland to Temescal Ridge.  At the hub junction we'll head down the hill to the Parker Mesa Overlook and one of the best views of the coast (photo below).  Then it's back onto pavement for the slog back home. Although the off-road segments are all fire roads, the steep pitches and length of the ride will require some endurance.  A gravel or mountain bike will work just fine.  You can start in Santa Monica if you want to cut out some of the road portion.
