36 mi, 2,961 ft, Peck Park and "no bikes" PV Gravel - Ride Leader : Bob Kellogg

Weather Notice:   If we get heavy rain in the days leading up to Thursday, or if any rain is predicted on Thursday, the ride will be cancelled.  An email will be sent by Wednesday evening if it is rescheduled.

Starting at Capt Kidds, we work our way south and east to Peck Park.  The trails here are beautiful and usually empty (photo below). Then we head up to the Miraleste neighborhood and sample some of their trails where there are plentiful "no bikes" signs.  Your ride leader has ridden here before and it was not a problem, but if you are uneasy with this mildly unlawful behavior, there are paved alternatives. Next we head down a trail that cuts out the switchbacks and back to Redondo on some familiar trails.  Some of these trails are probably a bit much for a beginner.  A gravel or mountain bike will work just fine.
