Come join the Beach Cities Cycling Club, South Bay and PV Bike Chicks as we ride up to see the New Years Day Rose Parade from a private business location on Colorado Blvd, with secure bicycle parking and a GREAT view of the Rose Parade! 

We plan to arrive at the business location (“RABCO”) by 9 AM with the first float passing our location no earlier than 9:30 AM.  We will spend about two hours watching the parade and then enjoy an easy downhill ride back home.

Larry Beale will lead the faster group (16-17 MPH) while Carolyn Maynard will lead the slower group (13 to 15 MPH).  These two groups will depart from Syd Kronenthal Park (3459 McManus Ave, Culver City) at 7 AM.  Please plan to arrive no later than 6:45 AM and be aware of posted street parking limitation signs around the park.

A second group of faster riders (18 to 20 MPH) will meet at the Captain Kidd’s start location at 5:45 AM and depart by 6 AM and will be led by Darryl Dalcin. 

The shorter route from Syd Kronenthal Park is 22 miles each direction with 1,155 feet of overall climbing.  See Ride with GPS link below:

Please plan to dress warmly as it will be cold that early in the morning!  Very few businesses are open that day, so bring food to snack on.
