27 mi, 5483 ft, Dirty Baldy - Ride Leader : Bob Kellogg

Due to the Thanksgiving holiday, this week's gravel ride will be on SATURDAY.  The route is on some trails near Mt Baldy.  The route has 3 sections.  The main priority is riding from the village up the switchbacks, then onto a fire road up to the top of the ski lifts and the Top of the Notch restaurant.  That part is about 15 miles roundtrip with 3500ft of elevation, all in the first 8 miles. Here's a GBC video covering that part.  Note that they started much lower than we will.  From Top of the Notch we can consider an optional excursion up to Thunder Mountain.  That adds about 3 miles and 700 ft.  The other optional segment is at the end of the route.  We head out on GRR and onto the Sunset Ridge Fire Road.  That adds about 9 miles and 1200 ft.  We might also consider doing this segment first as a bit of a warmup for the switchbacks.  The final route is negotiable.
